Got HACCP? FDA Food Safety Modernization Act Is Now Law! Learn More February 9th!
The "FDA Food Safety Modernization Act" (HR 2751) has been signed into law by the President. This will require All food processors to have HACCP in Place. FIBR is working to present a program on the Basics of Understanding the Law and How It Impacts Your Business. The Tentative date for the program is Wednesday, February 9th from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. Details will be announced shortly – But Mark Your Calendar Now!

Going Global - A Look at International Food Export Opportunities

As we enter a new year, large challenges still remain for the U.S. economy and especially here in California. For California businesses, the big question to be answered is: how can 2011 become a year of growth and profits? With continued high unemployment and a slow economic recovery, 2010 proved to be a sluggish year for many of California’s small businesses. However, one key area of potential growth that many small businesses have yet to take advantage of is selling their products in foreign markets. While international trade may seem overwhelming for small companies with limited international experience, the world recovery in a number of markets has been picking up and there are many markets that are very accessible by California companies of all sizes. One such market is South Korea.
