Wealth & Home Ownership Initiative (WHO): The CDTech Center offers the WHO program which provides employees with a cost-effective and efficient one-stop service to assess their credit, improve their credit, get pre-qualified for a home loan, obtain a loan, and find a home. By offering employees a way to overcome their financial problems, your business can reduce costs related to recruitment and high turnover, reward high-performing employees, and increase productivity. Services include consumer education workshops; personalized credit improvement; continued one-on-one counseling and preparation for homeownership; access to new and useful financial products, i.e., FDIC-insured payroll card with savings features; and loan underwriting and mortgage matching. Pacific Community Ventures (PCV): PCV offers FIBR Members the Business Advisory Program. PCV matches volunteer business advisors with entrepreneurs running businesses in or employing people from Los Angeles low/moderate-income neighborhoods. One of PCV's highly skilled and experienced volunteer advisors - senior professionals with an average of 10-15 years of experience in their field – will work with you free of charge over a six to twelve month period to help you address a critical issue facing your business and help you define and achieve a vision of where you want your business to go. United Agribusiness League (UAL): FIBR and it's members are associate members with the UAL. You may take advantage of the many benefits UAL offers including the League's own full-service insurance agency, United Agribusiness Insurance Services (UAIS), which offers a complete array of insurance products and services, including Workers' Compensation; the United Agricultural Benefit Trust (UABT) Health Care Plan which has helped approximately 700,000 individuals receive benefits; the California Agribusiness Credit Union(CACU) which gives members higher earnings on savings and lower interest rates on loans; and access to over $50,000 in scholarship grants (funded by UAL and UABT) that help fund the education of students who will pursue careers in agriculture. California League of Food Processors (CLFP): FIBR is also an associate member of the CLFP. FIBR members can enjoy associate member discounts to CLFP's programs and FIBR benefits from CLFP's leadership in the legislature. CLFP is devoted primarily to furthering the interests of the food processing industry before the State and Federal Legislature and regulatory agencies. CLFP Members are primarily canners, freezers, dryers, and dehydrators of fruits and vegetables. Additional members include snack foods, juice bottlers, and specialty processors of a variety of food products. CLFP also has over 250 affiliate members. Worksite Wellness LA (WWLA): Providing health insurance to employees may be highly desirable, but can be challenging for many small businesses. There service available to your company that promote healthy lifestyles through prevention education, health coverage enrollment and referrals to low-cost health care services in L.A. County. And these on-site services could be provided to your workforce at no cost to you. WWLA offers health education at your business. The Program include issues such as: nutrition, diabetes, alcohol/ substance abuse and women's health. WWLA provides health program enrollment assistance. California Manufacturing Technologies Consultants (CMTC): CMTC offers FIBR members the Small Manufacturers Advantage Program (SMA). The SMA program provides expertise and leadership for small manufacturers to identify and solve their problems through a Company SnapShot™ assessment tool and provides improvement plans leading to increased productivity and higher profits. The Small Manufacturers Advantage® provides Manufacturers with the help they need to succeed, taps into the expertise of CMTC's Small Business Consultants and provides low-cost solutions delivered to your site. Membership Information

Membership is open to:

  • Core Members: For-profit companies, corporations, or organizations which have a substantial portion of their manufacturing in ethnic and/or specialty food products.
  • Associate Members: For-profit companies or individuals who are involved in purchasing from or selling products or services to core members.
  • Supporting Members: Not-for-profit organizations, government agencies, or individuals having an interest in furthering the goals of FIBR.
